Roles & Responsibilities
Primary Diagnoses Treated
- Respiratory disorders and failure
- ARDS and infections
- Hemodynamic instability
- Post-cardiopulmonary arrest
- Traumatic brain injury
- Neurological disorders
- Organ transplant (liver/renal)
- Acute/chronic liver and renal failure
- Metabolic and endocrine disorders
- Post-operative care (general, airway, plastic, oro-maxillofacial, urology, neurosurgery)
- Pain management
- Oncology and hematology
- Burns, sepsis
- Organophosphate poisoning/drug ingestion
- Post-operative care of separated conjoined twins
Procedures Performed
- Conventional and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation
- Intubation/extubation
- Tracheostomy care
- Central/arterial line management
- Hemodynamic monitoring (vasopressors, inotropes)
- Blood product transfusions
- Continuous peritoneal dialysis
- Initiation of CRRT (CVVH)
- Epidural analgesia and PCA
- Chest tube insertion and management
- Brain death protocol and organ donation
- Moderate (conscious) sedation
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Current licensure as a professional registered nurse
- Eligible for registration with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties
- Minimum of two (2) years of current clinical nursing experience in PICU.
- ECMO experience desirable.
