Roles & Responsibilities
UNIT NAME: PCU - Progressive Care Unit
Patient Population:
Adult above 14 years
Mixed Gender
Hours of Operation: 24 hours / 7 days per week
# of Beds: 8 Beds
PRIMARY PATIENT DIAGNOSES:
All types of:
Non Invasive Ventilation (Full face BIPAP)
Treated Sepsis
Congestive Heart Failure: Stable
Diabetes- Including Resolved Diabetes Keto Acidosis) DKA)
Stable dysrhythmia
Gl Bleed: Minimal hypotension
Central nervous system depression: Able to protect airway
No Code-No intubation/escalation, awaiting bed on the floor
NURSING PROCEDURES:
Enteral and Parenteral Feeding
Tracheostomy Care
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Current licensure as a professional registered nurse
Minimum of two (2) years of current clinical nursing experience following licensure/registration in the country of origin
