Provide direct and indirect nursing care in an urgent care/emergency setting. The role requires rapid assessment, clinical decision-making, and the ability to respond effectively to changes in patient condition while maintaining high standards of patient safety and care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform patient triage, assessment, and reassessment based on clinical priority
• Deliver safe and effective nursing care across all patient age groups
• Assist physicians in emergency procedures such as:
• Intubation, chest tube insertion
• Fracture reduction, wound care, laceration repair
• Perform critical nursing procedures including:
• IV insertion, blood extraction
• CPR, defibrillation, BVM ventilation
• Urinary catheterization
• Administer medications following safety protocols and prevent medication errors
• Monitor patient condition and respond rapidly to clinical changes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation as per hospital and DOH standards
• Ensure infection control, patient safety, and quality care practices
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for diagnostic and therapeutic services
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and pain management
• Maintain equipment readiness and ensure proper handling of narcotics and supplies
