Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess and prioritize patient care needs based on their condition and medical history.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and monitoring vital signs, ensuring optimal health outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and diagnoses, promoting tailored treatment approaches.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention, empowering them to take control of their health.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care, enhancing communication and patient safety.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results, contributing to accurate and timely clinical decision-making.
  • Manage medical equipment and technology, ensuring proper usage and maintenance to support patient care.
  • Document patient care activities meticulously in electronic health records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs and symptoms, and report any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Ensure patient safety by following infection control protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times.
  • Document patient care activities and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Stay updated on advancements in nursing practice and participate in continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Advocate for patients' rights and provide ethical and compassionate care.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent nursing degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, demonstrating compliance with regulatory standards.
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, showcasing practical nursing expertise.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, underscoring commitment to emergency care.
  • Experience in a specific specialty area (e.g., pediatrics, critical care) preferred, allowing for targeted patient care.
  • Strong proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, enabling efficient documentation and data management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in high-stress environments, maintaining composure and professionalism under pressure.
  • Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse patient populations, ensuring inclusive and equitable care.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform nursing tasks, including lifting patients and standing for extended periods.
  • Valid nursing license and registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar healthcare setting.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to handle emergencies.
  • Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
  • Empathy and compassion towards patients.
