Job Description
The Regulatory Compliance Officer ensures that the organization complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. They monitor and analyze regulatory changes, assess their impact on the organization, and implement necessary controls and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Stay up-to-date on regulatory changes, analyze their impact, and provide guidance to the organization.
2. Monitor and report on compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and procedures.
3. Identify, assess, and mitigate regulatory risks.
4.Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
5. Provide training and awareness programs for employees on regulatory compliance.
6. Coordinate with internal audit and regulatory examiners to ensure compliance.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Familiarity with laws, regulations, and industry standards governing banking.
2. Ability to analyze complex regulatory issues and develop effective solutions.
3. Effective communication with stakeholders, including employees, regulators, and senior management.
4. Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate regulatory risks.
5. Relevant certifications, such as Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
