Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage and reconcile all financial transactions related to holiday home bookings, including income from rentals and expenses for property maintenance.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations specific to holiday home rentals.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, efficiently processing invoices, managing payments to vendors, and following up on outstanding guest payments.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures to safeguard assets and prevent fraud within the holiday home rental business.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; a strong foundation in accounting principles is essential.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a preference for experience in the hospitality or real estate industries.
  • Proficient in using accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero; experience with property management software is a plus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of tax regulations relevant to holiday home rentals and property ownership.
