Roles & Responsibilities
Job Title: Senior System Administrator – Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Infrastructure
Department: IT Operations / Business Applications
Reports To: IT Manager / ERP Program Manager
Location: Cairo, Egypt
Work Type: Hybrid / Remote
Travel: Up to 10% to Head Office
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize the infrastructure supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and other enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, strong security posture, smooth performance, and operational excellence across on-premise and Azure cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. System Management & Maintenance
- Install, configure, and maintain D365 F&O environments and supporting infrastructure.
- Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, and Azure resources.
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues to ensure uptime.
2. Security & Compliance
- Implement and maintain security policies, firewalls, and access controls.
- Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability checks.
- Ensure compliance with internal and industry IT standards.
3. Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Design, implement, and test backup and DR strategies.
- Configure and manage Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery (ASR) solutions.
4. User & Role Management
- Manage users, groups, permissions, and authentication mechanisms.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training for end-users.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations and processes.
- Prepare system performance, utilization, and incident reports.
6. Collaboration & Leadership
- Work with cross-functional teams to support IT initiatives and projects.
- Mentor junior administrators and provide technical guidance when required.
7. Workflows & Handhelds
- Maintain D365 workflows and ensure smooth operational processes.
- Manage Handheld Terminal permissions and related configurations.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Experience
- 5–7+ years of experience in System Administration / Infrastructure Management.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, Azure services, and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
Technical Skills
- Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy.
- Microsoft SQL Server administration.
- PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
- Experience with backup & DR tools (Azure Backup, ASR).
Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (preferred).
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (ERP/CRM).
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work in a hybrid/remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Lifecycle Services (LCS).
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks and best security practices.
- Exposure to hybrid cloud and large enterprise system deployments.
