Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the ISDT workshop operations based on operational requirements, ensuring optimal workflow and resource allocation
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities for downhole tools and equipment
  • Provide technical guidance and supervision to R&M Specialists in specialized welding techniques including tungsten carbide application and 6G position welding
  • Oversee quality control processes for all maintenance and repair work
  • Ensure strict compliance with all HSE policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks
  • Implement and monitor quality control standards for all workshop activities
  • Maintain proper documentation and reporting for HSE incidents and near-misses
  • Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials and radioactive elements
  • Monitor and control operational costs within the workshop
  • Optimize resource utilization to maximize efficiency
  • Ensure timely delivery of repaired and maintained tools to meet operational schedules
  • Track KPIs related to workshop performance and implement improvements
  • Manage equipment lifecycle to optimize maintenance costs and performance
  • Identify and implement process improvements within the ISDT department
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop efficiency
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop innovative solutions
  • Document and standardize best practices across the workshop
  • Promote a culture of learning and knowledge sharing among team members
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop R&M Technician and other workshop personnel
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
  • Identify training needs and coordinate skill development opportunities
  • Foster a collaborative and safety-focused work environment
  • Ensure proper staffing levels to meet operational demands

  • Strong technical knowledge of downhole tools and fishing operations
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and diagnostic skills
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
  • Experience in HSE management and quality control processes
  • Proficiency in budget management and cost control
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and processes
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in Fishing operations within ISDT (Intervention Services & Downhole Tools)

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical diploma or certification preferred

Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of downhole tools, maintenance procedures, and fishing operations

Leadership: Demonstrated supervisory experience in a technical workshop environment
