Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation of the monthly MEAC management accounts including variance analysis and commentary on results
- Consolidation of the MEAC flash report
- System administration, maintenance and continual improvement of the MEAC financial consolidation system, EPM reporting.
- Consolidation of the annual budget, mid-year forecast and monthly rolling forecasts
- Manage the weekly Direct Cash Flow reporting process.
- Preparation of data to support presentations and roadshows related to MEAC region.
- Drive continuous improvement in MEAC reporting
- Accounting for deferred consideration and other complex accounting areas across the MEAC region
- Assist with preparation and close-out of the MEAC year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors
- Prepare MEAC reporting calendar
- Manage a group of employees supporting overhead accounting, accounts payable, petty cash, balance sheet reconciliations
- Other ad hoc project work as directed by the SFM MEAC
Working Relationships:
- Internal: Senior Finance Manger MEAC, MEAC Leadership, EMEA Reporting Manager, EMEA F&A Vice President, Tax, Internal Audit, Investor Relations, Mergers & Acquisitions, BU Reporting Teams
- External: External Auditors
Level of Influence & Desicion making authority:
Responsibility to influence the delivery of internal and external financial reporting. This role follows the agreed policies, principles and practices as determined by Board, ELT and the F & A functional Leadership Team and as constrained by legislative requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications:
- Degree qualified is a preference
- Further professional postgraduate accounting qualification or working towards
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- A thorough understanding of Group policies and good knowledge of IFRS.
- Experience in a reporting or other key finance role within a complex global organisation
- Ability to influence and challenge current thinking at the highest levels through clear, informed and logical argument and discussion
- High levels of cultural awareness, sensitivity and discretion
- Group & BU financial performance and how it can deliver and add value to its customers
- Corporate governance and decision making
