Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Engineering Programs Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive coordination and support for academic initiatives and engineering programs within the college. This role involves working closely with department chairs, faculty, program directors, and students to ensure smooth operations, effective communication, and successful implementation of various projects. The Specialist will contribute to the growth and success of the college by providing expertise in administration, program management, and technical support.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Supports daily operations of undergraduate and graduate programs to ensure smooth academic delivery and efficient resource use, directly impacting student success and program quality.
- Coordinates administrative activities including policy drafting, academic proposals, budgeting, and reporting to maintain compliance and align with institutional goals, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Assists with administrative tasks to streamline workflows and uphold academic and financial regulations, ensuring operational consistency and institutional accountability.
- Serves as a liaison for internal and external stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration that enhances engagement and partnership opportunities.
- Supports program coordination by assisting curriculum development, course scheduling, and student advising to align academic offerings with degree requirements and promote student progression.
- Collaborates with marketing teams to develop and implement promotion strategies across digital platforms, increasing program visibility and supporting recruitment while maintaining brand consistency.
- Maintains accurate records and databases related to programs and participants, ensuring data integrity that supports reporting, accreditation, and strategic planning.
- Monitors industry trends and emerging technologies regularly recommend improvements that sustain program relevance, drive innovation, and support continuous enhancement.
- Coordinates logistics for academic events, workshops, and advisory board meetings, ensuring effective planning, execution, and stakeholder engagement.
- Assists in preparing grant proposals and supporting documentation to secure external funding for program development and research initiatives.
- Performs all duties in a professional, effective, and confidential manner.
- Performs all other related duties as required or assigned by the manager.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent from an accredited institute. A Master is preferable.
- Minimum of four (04) experience working in academic program coordination, higher education administration or any related fields or related field.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in an educational institution or other related fields.
