Roles & Responsibilities

Project Title: Integrating UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG S), Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) Values into Higher Education Curriculum in Oman BFP/RGP/EHR/25/055
Funding: Block Funding Project: Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MoHERI)
Research Team: Dr. Shariq Mohammed (Principal Investigator) and Dr. Muawya Hussein, (Co-P I.)
Affiliation: Department of Accounting, College of Commerce and Business Administration, Dhofar University, Salalah, Oman
Project Duration: 2 years

Responsibilities:

  • Data collection, meeting with stakeholders and data analysis.
  • Visiting various stakeholders, HEI, Universities and colleges all over Oman.
  • Willing to take on added responsibility as per the requirements of the organization/project PI.
  • Writing research papers, working papers, and policy briefs related to the project for possible publications.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

Desired Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications

Research Assistant

  • Bachelor s/ Master s degree/Accounting/Finance /Statistics with good knowledge of Research Methodology and research paper publication.

Research Assistant (Technical )

  • Master s degree in accounting/finance/Statistics or any related discipline with good knowledge of Research Methodology and research paper publication.

Requirements:

  • Working Knowledge in language of Arabic and English
  • Demonstrated background in a Research Assistant or comparable position.
  • Familiarity with research methodologies.
  • Exceptional time management proficiencies.
  • A degree/prior research experience in a relevant field of study is advantageous.
  • Prior publication in Scopus/ WOS would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria and , UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG S) and their impact on higher education.
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Proficiency in using statistical software (e.g., SPSS/ EViews, Smart PLS, Excel etc.).
  • Ability to analyze UN Sustainable Development Goals and ESG reports.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive research reports and present findings.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and coordination skills are desirable.
