Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key responsibilities
Conducthigh quality research leading to publication in top-tier journals. Secure external and internal funding and collaborate with other colleagues in the ESC and the University. Teach courses and supervise postgraduate students in his field of study if needed. Build partnerships with the stakeholders including governmental and industry organizations. Engage and lead service contracts offered by the Center.
Desired Candidate Profile
PhD in Environmental Management and policies, Resource Management, Sustainability Studies or closely related fields. Strong record of academic publication in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals. Distinctive record of funding. Evidence of teaching experience in a similar academic institute. Recognized expertise in one or more of the following disciplines:
1. Environmental policy and governance
2. Climate change mitigation and adaption
3. Resource and energy management
4. Environmental Impact Assessment of mega projects
5. Sustainable development planning
6. Environmental regulations
Preferred extra-skills
Fluency in Arabic language. Previous experience working in a diverse cultural and academic environment. Professional experience with governmental authorities, NGOs, or international organizations. Leadership of international or regional interdisciplinary research teams. Development of environmental policies or community engagement.
