International Organization for Migration
IOM, globally and within Iraq, is a major actor in post-conflict recovery and reconstruction. The livelihoods programme of IOM Iraq covers a range of activities, with an emphasis on the provision of financial and technical support to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to address gaps in access to finance and promote employment creation. Livelihoods programming contributes to creating conducive conditions to achieve durable solutions in communities affected by forced displacement as a result of conflict and climate change. To inform its economic recovery programming, IOM conduts research through in-house capacity and partnerships with national actors and global universities.
