Roles & Responsibilities

Summary

As a Reservations Agent, you will be the first point of contact for guests looking to book their stay with us. This role is vital in shaping the guest experience from the very beginning. With a strong focus on guest service, attention to detail, and efficient communication, you will ensure all reservations are handled smoothly, accurately, and with the warmth and professionalism our brand is known for.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all room reservation inquiries by phone, email, or online platforms in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner
  • Ensure all reservations are processed accurately with complete guest information and preferences
  • Maximize occupancy and revenue through effective selling techniques and upselling where appropriate
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room rates, packages, and promotions
  • Liaise with front office and other departments to ensure guest expectations are met
  • Respond to special requests and provide personalised service whenever possible
  • Maintain accurate records of reservations, cancellations, and amendments
  • Handle confidential guest information with the utmost discretion
  • Assist with reporting and tracking reservations data as required

Qualifications

Experience/Certificates/Education

  • Bachelor s degree in Hotel Management or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience in an ultra-luxury hospitality environment, preferably within a Forbes 5-Star property.
  • A background in reservations management, with a demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional service and exceed guest expectations.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a relentless pursuit of excellence in all interactions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey sophistication and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy, including relevant software applications and experience with the Opera system.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • The capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset, enabling proactive identification of revenue opportunities and sales leads.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is advantageous, enhancing the ability to cater to the diverse needs of our international clientele.
