Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work within an interdisciplinary G&G team under the supervision of the G&G Technical Coordinator and Package Manager
  • Provide technical support during operations, focusing on reservoir engineering aspects
  • Participate in the preparation of well proposals and post-drilling evaluations
  • Develop and run reservoir models (material balance and 3D simulations)
  • Perform history matching, reserve calculations, production forecasts, and risk/uncertainty analyses
  • Design well tests, supervise operations on site, and interpret results
  • Instruct on-site teams for well test data acquisition and report any program changes to the G&G Coordinator
  • Contribute to field development studies, including consolidated production profiles, planning, and cost estimation
  • Participate in preparing the Book of Reserves (reserves and contingent resources)
  • Prepare technical documents for internal reviews, partners, and regulatory authorities
  • Travel abroad as required for well test operations and technical workshops

Interfaces:

  • Internal G&G Package Manager, well testers, engineers, supervisors
  • External Well testing service providers

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Engineering degree (Bac +5). ENSPM / IPC preferred
  • Experience: 1-5 years in reservoir engineering
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with reservoir modeling (numerical simulation, material balance) and well test analysis software
  • Languages: Fluent in English and French
