Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).
Main responsibilities:
- Define reservoir properties based on analysis of available geoscience, pressure, and production data. Determine the need for additional data acquisition and manage the data acquisition process.
- Monitor daily production data, pressures, temperatures, and well operating parameters across the field.
- Perform well and reservoir surveillance through analysis of PI trends, water cut evolution, and pressure behaviour.
- Identify abnormal trends, underperforming wells, sand production, and water breakthroughs, and provide early warnings to operations teams.
- Monitor and optimise water injection performance, including tracking injection rates, pressures, voidage replacement ratio (VRR), and waterflood sweep efficiency. Recommend adjustments to ensure balanced reservoir support and mitigate breakthrough risks.
- Maintain and update field monitoring dashboards and surveillance systems (e.g., PI systems, real-time data platforms).
- Recommend development plans, such as well placements, workovers, and EOR/IOR strategies.
- Collaborate with geologists, petrophysicists, and drilling engineers to design optimal field development plans.
- Monitor field performance and identify opportunities to enhance production.
- Present technical findings and recommendations to management and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure data quality and maintain reservoir engineering databases and models.
- Support production optimisation by recommending choke adjustments, artificial lift tuning, and remedial actions.
- Collaborate with production engineers and operations to troubleshoot performance issues.
- Validate data quality, ensure integrity of field measurements, and coordinate with instrumentation teams when needed.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to reservoir management plans and long-term monitoring strategies.
- Participate in technical reviews or collaborative studies on reservoir management and related topics.
Skills and experience required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience as a Reservoir Engineer; experience with unconventional reservoirs or EOR/IOR projects is preferred.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Strong understanding of reservoir physics, fluid flow, and petroleum geology.
- Proficiency in industry software (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel, CMG, OFM, Ecrin, PVTsim, Excel).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of programming tools (Python, MATLAB) for data analysis and automation (desirable).
- Exposure to machine learning applications in reservoir engineering (desirable).
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and technical accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong presentation and report-writing skills.
