Reservoir Engineering Advisor

Title: Reservoir Engineering Advisor Unconventional Resources (Saudi Arabia)

Location(s): Dhahran, Saudi Arabia

Description: Perform technical analysis and studies related to UR reservoir engineering assessments in KSA:

  • Fluids, SCAL and pressure transient well testing and analysis
  • Type curve and decline curve analysis
  • Material balance modeling
  • Hands-on experience in black oil, compositional and thermal simulation of conventional and unconventional oil and gas fields
  • Experience with risk identification, modeling and management
  • Experience in single-well and multiple-well modeling, stress analysis
  • Experience with nodal analysis, gathering system and IAM modeling
  • Understands log analysis and interpretation in unconventional reservoirs
  • Understands reservoir characterization in unconventional hydrocarbon plays (tight gas, shale gas, unconventional oil, and/or coal bed methane

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Reservoir Engineering or a related science as appropriate to the required discipline. An advanced degree is preferred and will reduce prerequisite work experience stated below by one year for master degree and two years for PhD.

Experience: Reservoir Engineer with at least 15 years experience, with at least 5 years experience with unconventional resources on shale and tight gas plays (US preferred). Prior consulting/secondment experience a plus.

Skills: Advanced knowledge and application of reservoir engineering principles. Good working knowledge of BHI products and services. Excellent client relations, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; a real team player.

Software Skills: Proficient in the use of software such as Eclipse, Petrel RE, PVTi, SCALi, VFPi, Matbal and other commercial reservoir evaluation tools.

Duration: Full-time permanent. 2-3 year expatriate assignment.
