Roles & Responsibilities
Position Title: Resort Operations Manager
Location: Socotra Island, Yemen
Department: Hospitality Operations
Reports to: Management
Job Summary
The Resort Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the overall operations of the resort, ensuring smooth daily functioning, high quality guest experiences, and efficient coordination of all operational departments. The role requires a hands-on leader with strong hospitality operations experience, preferably with exposure to resort, eco resort, glamping, or camping operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end to end resort operations.
Lead and supervise on site teams, ensuring service standards and operational efficiency.
Establish and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for resort operations.
Ensure exceptional guest experience aligned with eco-tourism and resort brand standards.
Coordinate with management on budgeting, cost control, and operational planning.
Oversee staff scheduling, training, and performance management.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Support pre-opening activities, including setup, staffing, and operational readiness (if applicable).
Act as the main point of contact for operational issues and guest escalations.
Collaborate with management on marketing, promotions, and service improvements.

Desired Candidate Profile
Preferably Filipino nationality (due to hospitality expertise and adaptability).
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in hospitality operations (resort, hotel, eco resort, or similar).
Strong experience in resort operations management is mandatory.
Experience in glamping, camping, eco lodge, or remote location resorts is a strong advantage.
Proven leadership and people management skills.
Strong operational, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Comfortable working in remote island or developing locations.
Good communication skills in English are required, proficiency in Arabic will be considered an added advantage.
Hands on, adaptable, and able to work in a start-up / project-based environment.
