Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
This is a 6-month assignment in Youssoufia, Morocco.
The mandate stems from the Equality in Action Volunteer Cooperation Programme (VCP), which operates in 12 countries and 3 regions over an eight-year period (2020-2028). The VCP aims to increase the involvement of local partners in developing countries in inclusive, innovative, and sustainable development initiatives that will advance gender equality. Oxfam's role is to support these organizations, working with the most vulnerable and marginalized people, in claiming and exercising their rights. Oxfam places the rights of women, girls, and vulnerable and marginalized people at the heart of everything it does.
Here's what your daily life will look like:
Working closely with Oxfam team members in Morocco and partner Kholoud, the advisor will be responsible for:
Supporting the partner in developing a map of donors and the financial landscape;
To support the development of a strategy and action plan for mobilizing the partner's financial resources;
To provide support in the implementation of practices and tools for mobilizing financial resources;
Explore alternative and innovative financing options with the partner;
Contribute to the diversification and growth of the financing portfolio and to the development of a relationship of trust with the various donors
Train the partner on resource mobilization;
Conduct monitoring and research to identify new calls for project proposals.
For this mandate you must:
To have Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status in Canada;
Possess a university degree in international development, development project or program management, or any other relevant field;
Have at least 2 years of professional experience in financial resource mobilization, fundraising, or project management;
Mastering the Office Suite, Teams and Zoom;
Oral and written communication skills;
Knowing how to listen and having an attitude that respects the habits of local organizations;
Mastering spoken and written French.
