Respiratory Therapist (Arabic Speaking) Amana Bahrain W.L.L

1. Patient Assessment

• Evaluate patients with respiratory or cardiopulmonary conditions using physical exams and diagnostic tools.
• Analyze arterial blood gases, pulmonary function tests, and oxygen saturation levels.
• Identify signs of respiratory distress and recommend appropriate interventions.

2. Therapeutic Interventions

• Administer oxygen therapy, nebulized medications, and chest physiotherapy.
• Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation (invasive and non-invasive).
• Set up and operate respiratory support equipment, including BiPAP/CPAP machines and ventilators.
• Perform airway management including tracheostomy care and suctioning.
• Assist in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and rapid response teams.

3. Patient Monitoring and Documentation

• Monitor vital signs, respiratory status, and ventilator parameters.
• Adjust respiratory therapy based on physician orders and patient response.
• Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, changes in patient condition, and equipment usage.

4. Collaboration and Communication

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (physicians, nurses, physiotherapists) to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on the proper use of inhalers, oxygen therapy, and lifestyle adjustments.
• Communicate patient progress and concerns effectively to medical staff.

5. Equipment Maintenance and Compliance

• Ensure all respiratory therapy equipment is clean, functional, and compliant with safety standards.
• Report equipment malfunctions and maintain inventory of respiratory supplies.
• Follow infection control and hospital safety protocols at all times.

6. Support in Specialized Care Units

• Provide respiratory support in ICU, emergency room, operating theater, and step-down units.
• Support patients post-surgery or with chronic lung conditions such as COPD, asthma, and pneumonia.
