Roles & Responsibilities

Role Overview

The Retail Manager is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, achieving sales targets, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing store staff. The role also involves maintaining store standards, monitoring inventory, and implementing company policies to ensure smooth and profitable operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Store Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day store activities and ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, visual merchandising standards, and product displays.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and operational procedures.

2. Sales & Performance Management

  • Drive sales to achieve monthly and annual targets.
  • Monitor KPIs such as conversion rates, footfall, and average transaction value.
  • Analyze sales reports and implement strategies to improve performance.

3. Customer Service

  • Ensure exceptional customer service and handle escalations professionally.
  • Build strong customer relationships and manage customer feedback.
  • Train staff to deliver high service standards.

4. Inventory & Stock Control

  • Oversee stock levels, replenishment, and product rotation.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and minimize shrinkage or loss.
  • Coordinate with warehouse/supply chain for timely stock availability.

5. Team Leadership & People Management

  • Recruit, train, and mentor store staff.
  • Allocate duties, create staff schedules, and manage attendance.
  • Conduct performance reviews and ensure

Desired Candidate Profile


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field (preferred).
  • 3–7 years of retail experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make business decisions.
  • Knowledge of POS systems, retail operations, and inventory control.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
