Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Overview:
The Rigger will be responsible for preparing, setting up, and controlling lifting operations using cranes, hoists, and other heavy lifting equipment. The role ensures safe and efficient handling of materials in compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, set up, and operate rigging equipment safely.
Attach loads securely using slings, shackles, chains, and hooks.
Communicate with crane operators using standard hand signals or radio.
Ensure proper load calculations and weight distribution.
Conduct routine checks on lifting tools and report any damage or malfunctions.
Assist with loading and unloading heavy materials at job sites.
Follow all workplace safety regulations and company procedures.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Rigger or similar role.
Knowledge of rigging techniques, load charts, and lifting tools.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and signals.
Physically fit and capable of handling heavy tasks.
Safety-conscious with understanding of lifting standards.
Valid Rigger Certification (if required by client).
