Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan and execute rigging operations with precision to ensure the safety and efficiency of lifting heavy equipment and materials.
- Select appropriate rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, and hoists based on load specifications and environmental conditions.
- Conduct thorough inspections of rigging gear to identify any wear or defects before use, maintaining compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate with crane operators and ground crew to communicate load movements clearly and effectively during lifting operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in rigging or a related field is a plus.
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on rigging experience in construction, manufacturing, or maritime environments.
Certification in rigging techniques, such as NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) or equivalent, is required.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and rigging schematics.
