Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
To perform safe rigging, lifting, and handling of heavy equipment and materials in accordance with Saudi Aramco standards, ensuring all lifting operations are executed efficiently and without risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform rigging and lifting operations as per approved lifting plans
- Inspect all rigging equipment (slings, shackles, hooks, wire ropes) before use
- Ensure proper selection of rigging gear based on load weight and configuration
- Assist crane operators by providing correct hand signals and radio communication
- Secure loads using correct hitch methods (vertical, choker, basket, etc.)
- Calculate load weight, center of gravity (COG), sling angles, and stress factors
- Set up lifting arrangements and ensure stability during operations
- Participate in critical lifts, tandem lifts, and heavy equipment handling
- Follow strict Aramco HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) procedures at all times
- Report unsafe conditions, defects, or hazards immediately
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and lifting teams for smooth execution
- Support installation and alignment of pipelines, structural items, and equipment
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualification Requirements:
- Valid Saudi Aramco Rigger Level-1 Certification (Mandatory)
- Minimum 25 years of experience in oil & gas / construction projects
- Experience in pipeline, wellhead, or industrial lifting operations preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Physically fit for site work (lifting, climbing, working in harsh environments)
