Job Title: Rigging Superintendent

Location: (Project Site Saudi Arabia)

Industry: Oil & Gas / Construction / Shutdown & Turnaround Projects

Job Summary:

The Rigging Superintendent is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing all rigging and lifting activities at the project site. The role ensures that all lifting operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and international safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage all rigging and lifting operations on site
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and regulations (e.g., OSHA / Aramco standards)
• Review and approve lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and crane operators for smooth execution
• Monitor and control rigging crew performance and productivity
• Ensure proper selection, inspection, and certification of lifting equipment and tools
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for rigging teams
• Identify hazards and implement corrective/preventive measures
• Ensure all lifting activities meet project timelines and quality standards
• Maintain proper documentation and reporting of lifting operations

Requirements:

• Diploma / Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 6-15 years of experience in rigging & lifting operations
• Strong experience in Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical projects
• Experience in Shutdown & Turnaround projects
• Mandatory GCC / Saudi Arabia project experience (contractor side preferred)
• Certification in rigging/lifting (e.g., LEEA / Third Party Certification preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of lifting equipment, cranes, and rigging techniques
• Familiar with international safety standards and lifting regulations
• Strong leadership and team management skills
