Wood is currently looking for a Rigless Well Services Field Supervisor Trainee to support one of our projects in Basra, Iraq.
Rotation : 14 days on 14 days off

This is an exciting opportunity for an a Rigless Well Services Field Supervisor Trainee to support one of our projects in Basra, Iraq.

Primary Function:
- To learn the role of a company field supervisor .
- To assist experienced field supervisors in the supervision of rigless operations in the field.
- To learn company required reporting systems.
- To learn service disciplines sufficiently to be able to supervise those activities.
- To be able to independently supervise basic rigless activities
- To operate within company HSE. Control of Work and work procedures (FOMS Field Operating Management System).
Job Role and Interfaces:
- To learn, understand and be able to supervise:
- Wireline (e line logging, multi-finger caliper, saturation logging, depth correlation, plug setting, perforating, production logging, mechanical pipe cutting, chemical cutting, noise logs).
- Pressure pumping, stimulation and well kills.
- Coiled tubing nitrogen lifting, milling, multi set packers, coiled tubing perforating, stimulation and logging.
- Slickline operations, drift runs, libs, sliding sleeve open/close, memory logging tools and BHP/T surveys, tubing punch
- Wellhead maintenance and remedial work including workover pre -work, well integrity compliance
- Well Testing and Flowback
- To understand and assist with gaining work permits for rigless activities.
- To contribute, as required to the development and review of company and department systems and processes including FOMS (The Field Operating Management System).
- To work with and directly communicate with and support personnel on location.
- To maintain close communication with the Section Head.
- To effectively coordinate and report from on activities across multiple work fronts.
- To ensure quality standards are maintained and wherever possible improved.
- To witness and report on rigless activities performed and contractor divisions and to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.
- To embrace and to actively contribute to the promoting of a culture of continuous improvement.
- To actively encourage others to contribute to the work process through direct participation and other means of involvement.
- To become aware of and take into account local community issues.
- Establish effective working relationships with contractor companies.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years experience required in a service company discipline.
- One major discipline with hands on experience and practical supervision experience in wireline, slickline, pumping/stimulation, perforation (wireline and TCP, coiled tubing, flowback and well testing.
- Min. BS Degree desirable (engineering preferred), or time served equivalent.
- Well-developed skills use of MS Office software and tools.
- Able to interact effectively with peers; service and contractor representatives.
- Must be a self-starter and motivated individual.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and embrace a new working environment.
