1. POSITION DETAILS

2. ROLE PURPOSE
Projects risk management is very crucial for projects success by identifying and controlling risks to project s schedule, Cost and HSSE. Risk Engineer is an accountable to ensure effectiveness of risk management system for OLNG projects and portfolios and promote & implement an effective Risk Management Plan & Process.
Also, he is Accountable to deliver Quantitative/Qualitative cost and schedule risk analysis.
Facilitate the identification, evaluation and control of risks through formal workshop and ongoing liaison with all project s stakeholders.
Manage and maintain database of all lessons learned from assurance events as part of Lessons Learned database.
The purpose of Risk Engineer position is to maximise the likelihood of success and the business value derived from OLNG capital investments.
Quality Assurance and Quality Control Lead are crucial in projects for several important reasons:
QA/QC Lead ensure that the projects meet established quality standards and specifications.
Cost Savings: By identifying and addressing quality issues early in the project, quality lead can prevent costly rework and avoid potential legal or financial liabilities.
Compliance: Quality lead ensure that the project adheres to industry regulations and standards, reducing the risk of non-compliance, fines, and legal issues.
Process Improvement: They continually analyse processes to identify areas for improvement, leading to increased efficiency and effectiveness in project execution.
Data-Driven Decisions: Quality lead collect and analyse data to make informed decisions, enabling organizations to make improvements based on evidence rather than guesswork.
In summary, the role of QA/QC lead is pivotal in ensuring that projects are completed successfully, meeting or exceeding quality standards, while also contributing to cost savings, risk reduction, and overall organizational excellence.
ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND CHALLENGES:
1. Lead project risk identification and analysis to manage the project risk management system.
2. Continuous monitoring of the project risk register, highlight impending circumstances that may lead to risk materialization, and work with Project team to activate mitigation and recovery measures.
3. Monitor, coordinate and update projects corporate risks and furnish project-related risk information.
4. Own and implement efficiently Risks Management Procedure.
5. Conduct monthly risk meetings and keep updated versions of risk registers.
6. Coordinate and develop SRA and CRA for major projects.
7. Act as the project risk registers custodian and cascade lessons learned across other projects.
8. Ensure risk records are stored in officially designated repositories, primarily the electronic document management system.
9. Ensure meeting legislative requests/ requirements within the specified timeframe.
10. Manage, update and actively share the projects Lessons Learned database.
11. Ensure projects follow the specific assurance events as per PMF procedure and project-specific OAP
12. Manage and maintain database of all lessons learned from assurance events as part of Lessons Learned database.
13. Develop and implement QA/QC plans, policies, and procedures in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
14. Establish quality objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project quality.
15. Conduct audits and assessments to ensure adherence to QA standards and recommend improvements.
16. Monitor and inspect project activities, materials, and equipment to verify compliance with specifications and standards.
17. Perform inspections and tests at various project stages to identify and address non-conformities.
18. Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality-related documentation.
19. Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including inspection reports, test records, and quality control documentation.
20. Report any quality issues, deviations, or non-conformities to project management and collaborate on corrective and preventive actions.
21. Evaluate and qualify vendors and suppliers based on their quality management systems and performance.
22. Monitor and ensure that supplied materials and equipment meet the specified quality standards
23. Provide training and guidance to project personnel on QA/QC procedures and requirements.
24. Ensure that all project team members are aware of and adhere to quality standards and regulations.
25. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve quality-related issues and achieve project goals.
CHALLENGES
1. Maintaining tight controls on risk management and QA/QC associated with the large project portfolio.
2. To promote QA/QC and risk management system within the OLNG and contractors.
3. Enforce commitment and compliance to risk management and QA/QC processes.
7. KEY TASKS AND PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Project Performance
Timely and quality project information, Quality and Risks KPI s and controls to ensure effective control of schedule.
Useful and efficient reporting of project Quality and Risks status information to all relevant stakeholders;
Quality
Comply/Meet with Organisation HSE targets
Limit rework related to project
Non-compliance to QA/QC hold points
Contract Management
Management of Quality and Risks of all contract activities in line with OLNG procedures and KPIs
Audit
Close all audit points (HSE, IA, Quality, others) before due date
Finance and Contracting targets
Quality and Risks cost forecast and impact to overall projects budget.
Staff development
Adequate coaching and development of QA/QC and Risks personal.
8. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Degree in engineering science.
2. 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry of which at least 5 years must have been in a lead position including exposure to different ventures operations, engineering and project roles.
3. Experienced in brownfield project QA/QC
4. Experienced in Projects Risks management
5. Demonstrated team leader and coaching experience including working with diverse teams.
Desired Candidate Profile
