Risk Management Lead

HBKU seeks applications for the position of Risk Management Lead. The applicant will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective risk and compliance management functions in accordance with HBKU's overall strategic direction and vision.

• Lead supports the organization to build business continuity capability, along with being a central point of contact and subject matter expert for Crisis Management practice.
• Develop strong relationships with all key stakeholders.
• Provide training, guidance on current best practice.
• Maintain frameworks in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Proactively support the business units in the development, maintenance and testing of response plans.
• Manage all HBKU specific insurance related matters.

• Bachelor s degree in risk management, business management or other relevant related field is required.
• Minimum 6 -8 years of Risk Management, Business Continuity Management, Disaster Preparedness, and/or Crisis Management experience.
• Working knowledge of the regulatory standards of the State of Qatar.
• In-depth knowledge of Risk Management software systems
• Hands-on experience and thorough understanding of policies and best practices of risk management, Budget preparation, presentation, control, and monitoring.

• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills; training experience preferred.
• Excellent analytical, planning, and management skills.
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
