Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

This Neurology & Neurosurgical unit has a total of 36 beds. In addition, the unit has 5 beds assigned to the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.

Patients include:

  • Brain Tumors
  • Spinal Surgeries
  • Arterial Venous Malformation
  • Aneurysms
  • Epilepsy
  • Spina Bifida
  • Movement Disorders with complex treatments
  • Treatment of congenital neurological disorders
  • Management of acute cerebral vascular accidents (CVA)
  • Management of patients with ALS
  • Management of all patients with acute neurological related disorders

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (online/distance education programs cannot be considered)
  • Current nursing (RN) license
  • Must have a minimum of five years of experience as an RN; two years current experience must be gained as an RN on a neurosurgical ward in a tertiary hospital
