Roles & Responsibilities

The 28-bed Pediatric Surgical/Solid Organ Transplant unit receives patients with multiple and complex medical conditions requiring a multi-disciplinary approach in their management. A sitter or parent is encouraged to stay with the patient to promote family-centered care.

Surgical specialties include:

  • General Pediatric Surgery
  • Pediatric Plastic Surgery
  • Pediatric Urology
  • Pediatric ENT/Head and Neck Surgery
  • Pediatric Neurosurgery
  • Pediatric Liver Transplant
  • Pediatric Renal Transplant

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing em>(online/distance education programs cannot be considered)/em> br>
  • Current nursing (RN) license br>
  • Must have a minimum of two years current experience as an RN in pediatric surgery in a tertiary setting
