Role & responsibilities

• Operate and program robotic welding arms (MIG/TIG/ARC) used in the production of gearboxes, mechanical assemblies, and fabricated components.
  
• Prepare and set up robotic welding stations, jigs, and fixtures according to engineering drawings and job specifications.
  
• Program, test, and fine-tune welding parameters and robot paths to achieve optimal weld penetration, alignment, and finish.
  
• Inspect welds visually and dimensionally to ensure compliance with Techno Gears quality and safety standards.
  
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of robotic arms and related equipment.
  
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or software issues during operations, minimizing downtime.
  
• Maintain production logs, welding parameters, and quality inspection reports for traceability.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience:
  
• Minimum 35 years of experience in robotic welding operations in a precision manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  
• Hands-on experience with robotic systems such as FANUC, ABB, Panasonic, or Yaskawa preferred.
  
• Background in manual welding (MIG/TIG) will be an added advantage.
  
• Technical Competencies:
  
• Strong understanding of robotic programming, welding sequences, and arc characteristics.
  
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and dimensional tolerances.
  
• Familiarity with welding standards (AWS / ISO / ASME).
  
• Knowledge of metals used in industrial fabrication (mild steel, alloy steel, stainless steel).
