voco Dubai The Palm is seeking a skilled and reliable Room Maintenance Technician to ensure all guest rooms and related areas are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and comfort. The role involves performing routine maintenance, responding to guest repair requests, and supporting the engineering department in maintaining a smooth and efficient operation within the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

* Inspect guest rooms daily to ensure all systems, fixtures, and furniture are in excellent working order.
* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work.
* Respond quickly to guest maintenance requests and resolve technical issues efficiently.
* Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are guest-ready after maintenance work.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times.
* Record and report all maintenance activities, malfunctions, or damages to the Engineering Supervisor or Maintenance Manager.
* Support the hotel s energy conservation and sustainability initiatives by ensuring efficient use of resources.
* Conduct safety checks and follow all health and safety procedures when using tools, ladders, or chemicals.
* Assist other departments with maintenance-related needs as required.

Ideal Profile

* Previous experience in a similar maintenance or technician role, preferably within a hotel or serviced apartment environment.
* Knowledge of basic electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair techniques.
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a guest-first mindset.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure.
* Physically fit and able to lift, climb, or stand for extended periods.
* Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
