Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Execute commissioning activities for rotating equipment in accordance with OPERCOM, project schedules, and approved procedures.
Witness installation, alignment, and testing of compressors, pumps, drivers (motors/turbines), and auxiliary systems.
Verify and confirm alarm settings, trip set points, and interlocks prior to equipment start-up.
Perform functional checks of auxiliary equipment, including lubrication systems, cooling systems, and control systems.
Monitor and support running-in (start-up) activities of rotating equipment as per Operational Test Procedures (OTP).
Check inrush current, review electrical parameters, and coordinate with electrical teams to adjust MCC trip settings where required.
Conduct trip checks, governor checks, and safety device testing to ensure equipment protection and operational reliability.
Review and validate Operational Test Procedures (OTP) and ensure compliance with EPCC maintenance and commissioning standards.
Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and operations teams to ensure system readiness and smooth handover.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during commissioning and start-up phases.
Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures at all times.
Requirements:

Minimum 8 10 years of experience in commissioning rotating equipment within oil & gas or petrochemical projects.

Prior experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC region is highly preferred.

Strong hands-on experience with compressors, pumps, turbines, and associated auxiliary systems.

Familiarity with OPERCOM and commissioning documentation systems.

Experience in start-up, testing, and troubleshooting of rotating equipment.

Good understanding of electrical systems (MCC, inrush current, protection systems).

Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, datasheets, and technical manuals.

Strong knowledge of HSE standards and safe commissioning practices.

Excellent coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
Desired Candidate Profile
