Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering, maintenance, and reliability activities for rotating equipment

  • Oversee installation, commissioning, overhauls, and troubleshooting

  • Manage preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance strategies

  • Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards and engineering best practices

  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive reliability improvements

  • Support procurement and technical evaluation of equipment

  • Ensure adherence to international standards and safety requirements

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred) with minimum 10+ years of Oil & Gas / Petrochemical experience

OR

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 25 years of extensive rotating equipment experience

  • Deep knowledge of rotating equipment lifecycle management

  • Experience in QA/QC, engineering, commissioning, and maintenance systems

  • Familiarity with SAP or equivalent CMMS systems and Proficient in MS Office tools

  • Strong understanding of industrial standards, governance, and risk management

  • Strong hands-on experience in rotating equipment maintenance like Pumps, Compressors (process & gas), Gas turbines, Gearboxes (high & low speed), Fans and blowers, Expanders, Electric motors & associated mechanical systems and tools.

  • Certifications (Preferred): Machinery Lubrication Analysis (MLA), SMRP (Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals), Vibration Analysis Certification, Training in reliability, RCA, and rotating equipment standards

  • Exposure to standards from QatarEnergy / Shell

  • Experience in large Oil & Gas / Petrochemical complexes

  • Ability to work independently and lead technical decisions

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities

  • High attention to detail and quality

  • Must be able to drive and obtain Qatar driving license

  • Immediate joiners preferred.
