Careem operates in over 70 cities across 10 countries, from Morocco to Pakistan.About The RoleWe are seeking a Safety & Security Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day risk management, supply chain protection, and operational safety across our retail locations and distribution centre operations.This role requires a strong grasp of Enterprise Security Risk Management (ESRM), hands-on expertise in supply chain security, and in-depth knowledge of safety and security best practices, including regulatory and compliance requirements within retail and logistics environments.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and operationally focused, with the ability to work closely with distribution centre teams, field operations, and cross-functional partners to ensure that risks are effectively identified, mitigated, and reported.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain safety and security policies and SOPs in line with regulations and company standards.Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify vulnerabilities, recommend corrective actions, and drive continuous improvementMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety inspections, incident logs, compliance checklists, and regulatory reporting.Support supply chain security programs, including vendor assessments, warehouse/retail security, and logistics risk management.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety and security are integrated into operational workflows.Stay updated with legislative changes and communicate required updates.RequirementsBachelor s degree in Safety Management, Security Management, Risk Management, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years experience in safety and security, ideally within supply chain, warehousing, logistics, or retail operations.Ability to work in an environment requiring attention to detail and accuracy.Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing proactive safety and safety programs.Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders,Proven ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced operational environments.Proficiency in security and safety systems (access control, CCTV, alarm systems).Recognised certifications in safety or security (e.g., CSP, NEBOSH, CPP, PSP) are highly preferred.What We ll Provide YouWe offer colleagues the opportunity to drive impact in the region while they learn and grow.
