Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor the company’s HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices in line with legal requirements and company standards.
Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of ISO management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or equivalent) across all divisions.
Ensure IMS & HSE policy & processes are established, implemented, maintained, and regularly reviewed, and report system performance to top management.
Plan and conduct internal HSE and ISO audits, coordinate external certification/surveillance audits, and follow up on non-conformities and corrective actions.
Identify workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments, and recommend control measures; monitor compliance through site inspections and safety walks.
Develop and deliver safety and ISO awareness training, toolbox talks, and inductions for staff and subcontractors.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, analyze root causes, and implement preventive and corrective actions.
Ensure proper documentation, control, and updating of all safety and ISO manuals, procedures, forms, and records.
Liaise with regulatory authorities, certification bodies, clients, and consultants on safety and ISO matters as required.
Prepare periodic HSE and ISO performance reports, KPIs, and improvement plans for management review meetings.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field; additional qualifications in HSE or Quality Management are an advantage.
10-15 years of relevant experience in HSE/safety management, including at least 3–5 years in a managerial role, preferably within the oil & gas or construction fields
Strong working knowledge of HSE regulations and international standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, with proven experience in implementing and maintaining integrated management systems.
Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO Lead Auditor (9001/14001/45001), or equivalent are highly preferred.
Demonstrated experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, internal audits, and developing corrective and preventive action plans.
Strong leadership, communication, and training skills, with the ability to influence safety culture and interact effectively with site teams, senior management, clients, and auditors.
Proficient in MS Office and comfortable preparing reports, KPIs, and presentations for management review.
Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an added advantage.
