Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Safety Officer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in oil & gas-related production activities. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure a safe working environment at project and production sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.

  • Monitor daily work activities to ensure safe work practices are followed.

  • Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions for employees.

  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.

  • Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety standards.

  • Coordinate emergency response procedures and safety drills.

  • Maintain HSE documentation, reports, and records as per company standards.

  • Liaise with site supervisors, engineers, and management on all safety-related matters.


Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in oil & gas-related production activities.

  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering or relevant discipline.

  • NEBOSH / IOSH certification preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment, and incident investigation.

  • Experience working in production plants, refineries, or oil & gas facilities.

  • Good communication and reporting skills.

  • Ability to work independently and handle site safety responsibilities effectively
