Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety policies, identifying hazards, and promoting safe work practices. The role involves monitoring daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting incident prevention initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and enforce company safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct routine site inspections and safety audits.
- Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct safety inductions and toolbox talks.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports.
- Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation.
- Assist in emergency response planning and drills.
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and standards.
- Coordinate with supervisors and workers to improve safety performance.
