1. Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with local labor and HSE laws, company policies, and ISO standards (ISO 45001 preferred).
• Develop, implement, and maintain Safety Policies, SOPs, Risk Assessments, and Permit-to-Work systems.
• Maintain incident logs, inspections, audits, safety statistics, and reporting.

2. Workplace Safety (Steel Fabrication & Reefer Truck Manufacturing)

Monitor welding, cutting, grinding, lifting, confined space and working-at-height activities. Verify proper use of PPE, welding curtains, guards, gas cylinder handling, housekeeping, and fire prevention. Inspect cranes, lifting tackles, forklifts, pressure vessels, and safety equipment regularly. Oversee safety during chassis modification, fabrication, electrical work, refrigeration unit installation, and testing. Ensure safe handling of refrigerants, compressors, insulated panels, adhesives, chemicals, and power tools. Implement controls for electrical safety, leak detection, noise, ergonomics, and moving vehicles.

3 Training & Awareness

• Conduct toolbox talks and regular safety training (welding safety, fire safety, chemical handling, first aid, etc.).
• Coach supervisors and technicians on hazard identification and safe practices.

4 Monitoring & Incident Management

• Conduct daily site inspections and corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents/near-misses and recommend preventive measures.
• Lead emergency drills (fire, spill, evacuation).

5 Continuous Improvement

• Participate in internal audits and safety committees.
• Drive safety culture, behavior-based safety, and 5S initiatives.
