Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Safety Officer at KILONEWTONS, you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing and monitoring all aspects of the company s HSE management system across construction sites.
  • Conducting regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits using digital checklists and reporting tools.
  • Utilizing safety management software for:
    • Incident reporting and investigation (e.g., Intelex, SafetyCulture iAuditor)
    • Risk assessment and permit-to-work systems
    • Safety documentation and compliance tracking
    • Training records and competency management
  • Preparing and analyzing HSE performance metrics, statistics, and reports for management review.
  • Organizing and conducting HSE training, inductions, and toolbox talks for all site personnel.
  • Ensuring compliance with KSA regulatory requirements and international safety standards (OSHA, ISO 45001).
  • Leading incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborating with project managers, supervisors, and workers to promote safety awareness and behavioral safety programs.
  • Maintaining digital safety records, inspection reports, and emergency response plans.

Desired Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of HSE experience in the construction industry, with specific and verifiable experience in the Gulf region (GCC).
  • MUST HAVE professional certifications: NEBOSH IGC or equivalent is mandatory.
  • MUST HAVE proficiency with relevant HSE software and tools:
    • Safety Management Systems (Intelex, EcoOnline, etc.)
    • Inspection Apps (SafetyCulture iAuditor, Field iD)
    • MS Office Suite (Advanced Excel for data analysis)
    • Permit-to-Work systems
  • In-depth knowledge of KSA HSE regulations and international safety standards.
  • Strong communication and training delivery skills in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to conduct incident investigations and risk assessments effectively.
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills with attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a significant advantage.
