Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments across all operational areas in El Sadat City.
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Lead safety training sessions and workshops for employees to promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Maintain and update safety documentation, including Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), safety manuals, and incident logs.
- Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure all staff are familiar with evacuation and emergency procedures.
- Collaborate with management and operational teams to identify potential hazards and implement effective control measures.
- Monitor the use and storage of hazardous materials, pesticides, and fertilizers to ensure safe handling and compliance.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors during safety inspections and audits.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging safety trends relevant to agricultural operations.
- Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of proven experience in a safety specialist or similar role, preferably within the agriculture or manufacturing sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices applicable to agricultural environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify hazards and recommend effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deliver training and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough investigations and prepare clear, concise reports.
- Proficiency in using safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2-4 years of proven experience in a safety specialist or similar role, preferably within the agriculture or manufacturing sector.
