Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and work practices to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigation, and prepare detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
- Coordinate and deliver safety training sessions and workshops for employees at all levels to promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, training, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to develop risk assessments and implement preventive measures.
- Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety devices.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols during daily operations, including emergency response procedures.
- Stay updated on changes in safety legislation and best practices, and communicate relevant updates to stakeholders.
- Support the development and implementation of emergency preparedness and response plans.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of proven experience in a safety supervision or similar role
- Strong knowledge of local and international safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments and safety audits.
- Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage employees at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in preparing detailed safety reports and maintaining compliance documentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
