Sales Account Accountant

The Sales Accounts Accountant is responsible for managing and controlling accounts receivable related to sales activities. The role ensures accurate invoicing, timely collection of receivables, proper allocation of customer payments, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This position plays a key role in supporting cash flow, revenue accuracy, and financial reporting within the organization.

• Prepare, review, and issue sales invoices in accordance with approved contracts, pricing, and company policies.
• Record and maintain accurate accounts receivable transactions in the ERP system.
• Monitor customer accounts, aging reports, and outstanding balances, and follow up on overdue receivables.
• Coordinate with sales, leasing, and operations teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
• Allocate customer payments accurately and timely, including bank transfers, cheques, and other payment methods.
• Prepare regular accounts receivable aging reports and collection status summaries for management review.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to sales revenue and receivables.
• Ensure proper documentation and audit trails are maintained for all receivable transactions.
• Assist in the reconciliation of sales revenue and accounts receivable balances.
• Support internal and external audit requests related to accounts receivable and sales transactions.
• Identify opportunities to improve receivables processes, billing accuracy, and collection efficiency.

- Education:

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Previous Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, sales accounting, or general accounting roles.
• Experience in real estate, retail, hospitality, or service-based organizations is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and revenue recognition principles.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Effective communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight reporting deadlines.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) and strong Excel skills.
