Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Quoting & Order Management: Prepare and follow up on sales quotations, estimates, tenders, and purchase orders. Coordinate with the logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of products to customer sites. Product Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of product specifications, features, and installation methods. Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and new product launches to provide expert advice. Inventory & Merchandising: Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, receiving shipments, and ensuring the showroom and product displays are well-arranged, clean, and organized. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat business. Reporting & Administration: Maintain accurate records of sales, invoices, and customer interactions, often using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system or basic office software like MS Excel. Submit regular sales reports to management. Required Skills and Qualifications Experience: Proven experience in sales, preferably within the building materials, hardware, or construction industry. Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of construction materials, products , and construction industry practices.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. A customer-focused approach with a friendly and professional demeanor is essential for building client trust. Problem-Solving: The ability to handle customer inquiries, complaints, and potential issues promptly and professionally.
Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using POS systems, CRM software, and standard office applications like MS Office Suite. Physical Demands: The role may require the ability to be on one's feet for extended periods and occasionally lift merchandise. Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is standard, with a Bachelor's degree in business or a related field sometimes preferred.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business or marketing is a plus.
- Proven experience in retail or sales roles, ideally with at least 1-2 years in a customer-facing position.
- Familiarity with CRM software and point-of-sale systems to streamline customer interactions.
- Multilingual abilities are preferred, particularly in languages relevant to the customer base.
