Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities and target clients across various sectors in Oman. This includes strategic planning for market expansion.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective Customers, Consultants, and Contractors.
- Technical Sales and Support: Prepare and deliver technical presentations / product explaining Cummins products, Power solutions and services to customers. Provide product recommendations and technical support throughout the sales process.
- Proposal and Estimation: Prepare sales proposals, quotations, and cost estimates by studying customer requirements and consulting with consultants / contractors.
- Sales Target Achievement: Meet or exceed assigned sales objectives and targets for revenue, profitability, and sales growth.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform sales strategies and product development.
- Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, including Projects, Services and Support departments, to ensure smooth product delivery, installation, and after-sales support.
- Documentation and Reporting: Manage SAP data, maintain accurate customer records, and provide regular sales reports (e.g., monthly pipeline, won/lost projects).
- Site Visits: Conduct site visits as required for tendering, project quoting, and ensuring proper installation and commissioning of products.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering or Mechanical engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in diesel generator sales, technical sales of Cummins or any other leading brand of Gensets in the range of 500 – 3000 KVA or higher.
- Technical Knowledge: This role demands technical expertise with strong sales acumen to identify customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and achieve sales targets. Strong technical knowledge of diesel generators, power systems, components, and related equipment is essential.
- Sales Skills: A proven track record in B2B sales, achieving sales targets, and strong negotiation skills.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Other Requirements: Proficiency in MS Office and SAP/sales tools; a results-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated approach.
