Roles & Responsibilities

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Engineer to lead and grow export sales of Diesel Power Generators. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing distributor networks across Africa and the Middle East, or Local UAE Market, managing sales operations, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, expand, and manage distributor and dealer networks.

2. Identify and secure new business opportunities in the assigned territories.

3. Lead sales negotiations, prepare proposals, and close contracts.

4. Ensure compliance with international commercial terms (Incoterms), Letters of Credit (LCs), and shipping documentation.

5. Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with distributors, clients, and strategic partners.

6. Provide regular market analysis, competitor insights, and sales forecasts to management.

7. Represent the company at international trade shows, exhibitions, and client meetings.

8. Travel frequently (up to 70%) across assigned territories to manage business development activities.

Qualifications

Technical skills

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, or Business Administration.

2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in international sales of Diesel Generators or industrial equipment, with proven success in export markets.

3. In-depth knowledge of Incoterms, Letters of Credit (LCs), and export documentation.

4. Ability to build and manage distributor networks.

Languages: Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French is an advantage.
