Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations for valves, showcasing their features and benefits to potential clients, effectively communicating complex information.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify sales opportunities, providing technical expertise to support the sales process and increase closure rates.
- Analyze customer requirements and specifications, recommending appropriate valve solutions and configurations tailored to their specific needs and applications.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, providing ongoing technical support and addressing any inquiries or concerns related to valve performance.
- Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotations, and bid responses, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to customer requirements and industry standards.
- Provide technical training to customers and internal sales teams on valve products, applications, and maintenance procedures, enhancing product knowledge and sales effectiveness.
- Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and competitor products related to valves, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the market landscape.
- Conduct site visits to assess valve installations, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide on-site support, ensuring customer satisfaction and optimal valve performance.
- Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to provide feedback on product performance and customer requirements, contributing to product improvements and innovations.
- Participate in industry trade shows and conferences, representing the company and its valve products, and networking with potential customers and industry professionals.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required to understand the technical aspects of valve design and application.
- Possession of relevant certifications, such as API, ASME, or other industry-specific certifications, showcasing a commitment to professional development.
- Minimum of 3-15 years of experience in sales engineering or technical sales, specifically within the valve or fluid control industry, demonstrating a proven track record.
- In-depth knowledge of valve types, materials, and applications, including ball valves, gate valves, globe valves, and control valves, is necessary for effective communication.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and standards related to valves, facilitating accurate interpretation and communication.
- Experience with industrial markets such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Generation, or Water Treatment, demonstrating industry familiarity.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with customers and colleagues.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools, managing sales processes and tracking customer interactions.
- Ability to travel frequently to customer sites and industry events, ensuring customer support and industry presence.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is a plus, broadening customer interactions.
