Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the freight forwarding sector, focusing on specific industry verticals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their unique shipping needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals, highlighting the company's service offerings and competitive advantages.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with clients and vendors, ensuring profitability while meeting customer expectations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and customer service, to ensure smooth and efficient execution of shipments.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and threats.
- Manage and track sales leads and activities using a CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date customer information.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals, contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the company.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports and forecasts, providing insights into sales performance and market trends.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in business principles.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven sales experience within the freight forwarding industry, showcasing a track record of success.
- Demonstrated understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and Incoterms, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective client interactions and relationship building.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, enabling the candidate to identify and resolve complex shipping challenges.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating adaptability and a collaborative approach.
- Fluent in English and preferably another language relevant to the target markets, such as Mandarin or Spanish, expanding market reach.
- A proactive and results-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic and a passion for sales.
