Roles & Responsibilities
Blue Ocean Marine Logistics is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to spearhead our sales growth in the freight forwarding and logistics industry. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing strategies, leading a sales team, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue performance across domestic and international markets.
This role requires a proven track record in logistics sales, deep industry knowledge, and exceptional leadership capabilities to lead teams towards achieving ambitious growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:-
Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue and market growth targets.
Lead, motivate, and coach the sales team to consistently achieve high performance.
Build, manage, and expand strong customer relationships with new and existing clients.
Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments to expand service offerings.
Collaborate with operations, finance, and customer service teams to ensure seamless delivery of logistics solutions.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform strategy.
Negotiate contracts and close high-value deals, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities.
Provide accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and market insights to senior management.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education
Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
MBA or equivalent advanced degree is an advantage.
ExperienceMinimum 7 years of proven sales experience, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
At least 4 years of experience in the freight forwarding/logistics industry.
Demonstrated experience in managing client portfolios and leading high-performing sales teams.
Skills & CompetenciesLeadership: Excellent command and proven ability to lead, coach, and inspire teams.
Technology: Proficient in CRM and ERP systems, with the ability to leverage technology for sales effectiveness and reporting.
Strong knowledge of freight forwarding processes, international trade, and logistics operations.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market insights.
Highly organized, proactive, and results-driven.
Other RequirementsWillingness to travel regionally and internationally as required.
Strong customer-centric approach with the ability to maintain long-term business relationships.
Adaptability in a fast-paced, competitive business environment.
