Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Title: Sales Engineer Heavy Equipment Department: Sales & Marketing
- promote, sell, and provide technical support for heavy construction and industrial equipment (such as excavators, loaders, bulldozers, cranes, and other machinery) by leveraging mechanical engineering expertise to meet customer needs and achieve sales targets.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the construction, mining, and infrastructure sectors.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining equipment features and benefits to clients.
- Generate and follow up on leads, inquiries, and tenders to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Conduct market analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts in coordination with management.
- Technical Support & Consultation
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to clients.
- Recommend suitable machinery and configurations based on customer applications and technical requirements.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate working conditions and suggest the appropriate equipment.
- Coordinate with the service and parts departments to ensure after-sales satisfaction.
- Assist in demonstrations, commissioning, and training for customer operators.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts and customers.
- Manage customer complaints and ensure prompt resolutions in collaboration with the service team.
- Keep accurate customer records, sales forecasts, and activity reports in CRM systems.
- Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare periodic sales performance and market feedback reports for management.
- Collaborate with marketing to organize exhibitions, product launches, and promotional events.
- Liaise with suppliers and principals for product updates, pricing, and technical documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: 2 5 years of experience in sales of heavy equipment, construction machinery, or industrial machines.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, powertrains, and mechanical components.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Customer-oriented with strong problem-solving ability.
- Self-motivated and result-driven.
- Languages: Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Other: Valid driving license and willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Achievement of sales targets and revenue growth.
- Customer satisfaction and retention rate.
- New client acquisitions.
- Market share increase in assigned territory.
- Timely reporting and forecast accuracy.
